I think the Turkish government that is also essentially Islamic, even though the Turkish government is going through the motions of embracing European values, I call this expedient adaptiveness. That is, to accede to the European Union, and then to use sheer demography, to become a dominant force in the future in Europe. By sheer demography, I mean by rapid population growth, Europe may be inundated by Moslem Turks, who then are bound to change the nature and design of European civilization. It should be noted that the present Turkish government is a reflection of an overwhelming ascendancy of Islam in Turkey, in particular in terms of the Islamic Turkish masses, The proliferation of mosques in Turkey today is a signpost of the ascendancy of Islam; the same proliferation is observable in those European countries with sizable and growing Muslim populations.

Cada Vez mais actual, com a aproximação da Turquia á União Europeia, os "acontecimentos" que se pretendem branquear são relembrados por quem os conhece de gingeira:

"Another Vandalism against Turkish Flag in Athens: Armenians Fire Turkish Flag

Source:Vandalism against Turkish Flag

JTW - Armenians in Greece fired Turkish flag in commemoration of the 1915 Events. Armenians met in front of the Turkish Embassy and protested Turkey. Armenians consider 1915 Relocation Campaign as a ‘massacre’.

Armenian attack against the Turkish flag is not the fist and single ‘insult’ against Turkish flag. A group of Turkish officers visiting an Athens military academy last week as part of confidence-building measures between the two countries found a vandalized Turkish flag, inscribed with hostile slogans, in their room.

The Greek officers wrote slogans including “Constantinopolis is Greek! ", "Cyprus is ours forever!", "Barbar Turks!", "Viva EOKA!" on Turkish flag.

The incident coincided with a visit to Ankara by Greek Foreign Minister Petros Molyviatis, during which the two sides announced further steps to bring their armies closer. Chief of the Turkish General Staff Hilmi Ozkok announced a demand for an official Greek apology for the attack against the Turkish flag.
