Can a broad nationalist bloc emerge in the next European Parliament?

by Hendrik Bosch

BRUSSELS – Between June 10th and 13th, elections will take place across the European Union for the European Parliament. This presents a unique opportunity for European nationalists, one that Jean-Marie Le Pen of France’s National Front plans to take full advantage of. Le Pen hopes to form a Europe-wide political bloc of nationalist and patriotic parties in the European Parliament.

The axis of this new European party would probably include three of Europe’s most successful patriotic parties, Austria’s Freedom Party, Flanders’ Vlaams Blok, and of course the National Front.

If Britain’s BNP manages to overcome government repression and the near-hysterical smear campaign of the system's controlled media and succeed in picking up seats, it would also certainly enter this coalition. Le Pen recently visited Britain to help boost the BNP’s European campaign.

Other possible members of the nationalist bloc include Portugual's National Renovation Party, Slovakia’s Movement for a Democratic Slovakia, the Netherlands anti-immigrant party Nieuw Rechts (New Right), Poland’s Self-Defense of the Polish Republic, Greece’s Hellenic Front, Sweden’s Swedish Democrats and several others. Germany is unlikely to be able to participate in the coalition because Germany’s right remains splintered between several parties and is unlikely to pass the undemocratic 5% hurdle.

A united European nationalist party in the parliament could present a serious challenge to the E.U.’s multiculturalist leftist agenda. It could also become a platform to launch a new Europe-wide nationalist movement. Aware of this, Europe’s Bolsheviks have stepped up their campaigns against free speech. In Belgium, the system's political cartel are attempting to ban the only major voice of opposition, the Vlaams Blok. In Germany, the governments of several states have attempted to hinder the NPD’s Europe campaign, alleging that the party's humorous commercials wishing foreigners a “Pleasant trip home” are “racist.”

The unprecedented oppression of the BNP in Britain, well known to National Vanguard readers, is yet another example. Despite the hardships, Europe’s patriots fight on for the future of their homelands and all of Europe. For them, failure is not an option. To all European readers, I ask you to remember to go out and support your national party on June 10 through 13.
