As tensões religiosas ensombraram as cerimónias do nono aniversário dos ataques terroristas na América que mataram quase três mil pessoas. Um grupo de opositores à construção da mesquita no Ground Zero, em Nova Iorque, interrompeu mesmo o minuto de silêncio, mas as homenagens acabaram por decorrer sem mais incidentes, até porque a ameaça da queima de exemplares do Corão por parte de um pastor evangélico não se concretizou.
"Não nos rendemos", lia-se num cartaz exibido por manifestantes que conseguiram acercar-se do Ground Zero, onde decorreram as cerimónias oficiais, a que assistiram, entre outros, o vice-presidente dos EUA, Joe Biden. Além deste protesto, realizaram-se manifestações contra e a favor da mesquita.
O presidente Barack Obama liderou as homenagens no Pentágono, onde sublinhou que os EUA "nunca estarão em guerra com o Islão", na sequência das ‘incendiárias’ declarações do pastor Terry Jones. Este, recorde-se, ameaçou queimar o livro sagrado islâmico, mas recuou e garante agora que não o fará, mesmo que a mesquita seja construída no Ground Zero.
O complexo que cresce no Ground Zero, em Nova Iorque, onde antes se erguiam as imponentes e simbólicas Torres Gémeas do World Trade Center (WTC), mostra ainda um amontoado de gruas e de outros equipamentos de construção. Com 541 metros de altura, uma nova torre de um novo WTC, que abrirá caminho a outros grandiosos edifícios, tornará ‘pequeno’ o famoso Empire State Building, que mede ‘apenas’ 443 metros. Mais de dois mil operários trabalham diariamente para erguer a nova torre, que emergirá em 2013 como símbolo da reconstrução definitiva.

911 Anniversary: No Focus on 911, but Instead Distractions

In the days leading up to the anniversary of 911 this year, there has been almost no focus on 911 itself by the mainstream media. Instead there has been an obsession by every major network with a possible mosque at ground zero and an insignificant Florida pastor with 40 followers, who wants to burn some Qurans. Could it be that the mainstream media has encouraged an obsession with these two superficial stories in a deliberate attempt to keep the public from focusing on the much more important story of what really happened on Sep. 11th, 2001?
One article from 2008 pointed out that a “Scientific Poll (shows that) 84% Reject Official 9/11 Story (and) Only 16% now believe official fable according to New York Times/CBS News poll… A monumental new scientific opinion poll has emerged which declares that only 16% of people in America now believe the official government explanation of the September 11th 2001 terror attacks. According to the new New York Times/CBS News poll, only 16% of Americans think the government is telling the truth about 9/11 and the intelligence prior to the attacks… The 84% figure mirrors other recent polls on the same issue. A Canadian Poll put the figure at 85%. A CNN poll had the figure at 89%. Over 80% supported the stance… (claiming) 9/11 as an inside job…..”
So the people supporting the official government explanation for 911 are not only in the minority; they are a small minority making up only 16 percent of the most gullible portion of the population or people who are paid to say that they believe in the official 911 story like our politicians and government operatives.
Over the years, evidence has steadily built up making the government account less and less believable for anyone willing to keep up on the investigations by Americans with various technical expertise, who have been willing to donate their time to get at the truth. One of the first glaring signs, that something was not right, was the collapse of the 47 story world trade Center Building number 7. This building had not been hit by an airplane, but went down perfectly straight just like a controlled demolition. This is still seen as one of the most glaring inconsistencies and has woken up a great many people.
If Building 7 had been secretly set up with explosive charges to collapse it, then that raises the question whether or not the twin towers were also secretly set up with explosives. Both of the twin towers came down into their own foot prints just like controlled demolitions. Add to that, a great quantity of thermite dust that was found in the debris suggesting that explosives were used to cut through the steel columns. Some columns at ground zero were photographed which had clean 45 degree cuts consistent with a controlled demolition.
Add to all this, an ex-president of Italy, Francesco Cossiga has told the respected Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera that “the disastrous (911) attack was planned and realized by the American CIA and Mossad with the help of the Zionist world to put under accusation the Arabic Countries and to persuade the Western powers to intervene in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
Another source notes that Israel was caught trying to set up an al Qaeda cell in Palestine just weeks after 911. Israel has always objected to the US having friendly relations with any Muslim nations. Egypt and Saudia Arabia are two of the friendliest nations with the US. Curiously, almost all the 911 hijackers came from those two nations. The Israeli MOSSAD could have set up additional phony al Qaeda cells to recruit all of the 911 hijackers. Israel, by the way, tried to sour US relations with some false flag bombings in the 1950s in the Lavon Affair. Israel also attempted to sink a US intelligence ship (the USS Liberty) in 1967 without survivors with a probable intention of blaming that attack on Egypt.

9. Isolated explosive ejections 20 – 40 stories below demolition front
10. Total building destruction: dismemberment of steel frame
11. Several tons of molten metal found under all 3 high-rises
12. Evidence of thermite incendiaries found by FEMA in steel samples
13. Evidence of explosives found in dust samples….”

One would think that after nine years at least some of the anger, the horror and shock of the 9/11 terrorist attacks would have dissipated: but no. A glimpse at the headlines, a few days before the somber anniversary, disabuses us of this hopeful notion: a crazed pastor out in the boonies somewhere is burning Korans, and the commander of our forces in Afghanistan feels compelled to respond, as does the President. The proposal to build a Muslim community center blocks from "ground zero" – modeled on Jewish community centers ubiquitous in New York – is met with furious opposition, and the "anti-Islamization" movement spearheaded by bigots takes off, with mosques all over the country under attack. Physical attacks on Muslims, or people perceived as Muslim, escalate: a New York City cabbie is assaulted by a crazed Islamophobe, and people who have lived in this country for the whole of their lives are afraid.
What’s going on? Andrew Sullivan, writing on his popular blog, writes he is "at a loss to understand why so many have reacted so ferociously to this project." After all, Imam Feisel Rauf, the Muslim cleric who wants to build Cordoba House, is a moderate who has condemned Islamic extremism: Rauf was sent by the Bush administration overseas to act as an ambassador of good will to Muslim countries. So where is the ferocity coming from?
To find the answer to this question, we just have to follow the money, and thankfully Ken Vogel and Giovanni Russonello over at Politico have done just that. After detailing the money coming into the Cordoba House project from mainstream donors like the Rockefellers, they write:
"There’s also big money behind the mosque opposition, as highlighted by the relationship between [David] Horowitz’s Los Angeles-based nonprofit, Jihad Watch – the website run by Spencer "dedicated to bringing public attention to the role that jihad theology and ideology play in the modern world" – and Joyce Chernick, the wife of a wealthy California tech company founder.
"Though it was not listed on the public tax reports filed by Horowitz’s Freedom Center, Politico has confirmed that the lion’s share of the $920,000 it provided over the past three years to Jihad Watch came from Chernick, whose husband, Aubrey Chernick, has a net worth of $750 million, as a result of his 2004 sale to IBM of a software company he created, and a security consulting firm he now owns.
"A onetime trustee of the …Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Aubrey Chernick led the effort to pull together $3.5 million in venture capital to start Pajamas Media, a conservative blog network …
"The David Horowitz Freedom Center had a budget of $4.5 million last year, according to its tax filings, of which $290,000 came from the conservative Bradley Foundation, which also gave $75,000 to the Center for Security Policy last year. Horowitz has received an average of $461,000 a year in salary and benefits over the past three years, while Spencer has pulled in an average of $140,000, according to the center’s IRS filings."
